Boardman Spartan Makes it Official, Inks Deal with Ohio’s Baldwin Wallace University

In a proud moment for the local community, a standout Boardman High School student-athlete has cemented their future, signing a National Letter of Intent to continue their academic and athletic career at Baldwin Wallace University in Berea, Ohio. The signing ceremony, held at the high school, was attended by family, coaches, and teammates, marking the culmination of years of hard work on and off the field.

The athlete, a key contributor to Spartan athletics, chose Baldwin Wallace for its strong combination of competitive NCAA Division III athletics and rigorous academic programs. Coaches at the signing praised the student’s dedication, leadership, and resilience, noting that these qualities will serve them well at the collegiate level.

“This is what it’s all about—seeing our students set goals and achieve them,” said a Boardman High School athletic official. “They’ve represented our school and our town with excellence, and we know they’ll do the same for the Yellow Jackets. It’s a great day for Spartan Nation.”

For the Boardman community, the signing is a point of local pride, highlighting the talent developed right here in Eastern Oregon. It serves as an inspiration for younger athletes in the Morrow County area, proving that commitment in the classroom and in competition can open doors to exciting opportunities beyond high school.

The student-athlete is expected to report to Baldwin Wallace later this summer to begin preseason training with their new team.
